A Fresh Look & Faster Experience: Welcome to Our Redesigned Blog!

Making Our Blog Better for Everyone: See What’s New

If things look a little different around here, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you! We are thrilled to officially unveil a fresh, modern redesign of our blog, built from the ground up with your visual comfort, accessibility, and reading experience in mind.

Living with keratoconus means your relationship with screens, light, and typography is unique. Over the past few months, we’ve listened closely to your feedback. While our previous template served us well, we wanted to build a space that doesn't just share information, but actively reduces eye strain and makes navigating effortless for everyone, including community members who rely on assistive technology.

Here is a detailed look at the updates designed to make your time on our site smoother and more comfortable:

  • Automatic Light & Dark Mode: Light sensitivity is one of the most common challenges with keratoconus. Our site now automatically syncs with your device’s system preferences. If you use Dark Mode on your phone or computer to reduce glare, our blog will seamlessly switch over, no manual toggling required.
  • Enhanced Typography & High Contrast: Reading digital text should never cause fatigue. We overhauled our typography with higher contrast, generous line spacing, and a crisp, modern font structure designed to minimize glare, ghosting, and visual strain while reading long articles.
  • Quick "Skip to Content" Navigation: For keyboard navigators and screen-reader users, we added a dedicated "Skip to Content" link at the very top of every page. Now you can jump straight to the main post without having to tab through header menus every single time.
  • Rebuilt Accessibility & Screen-Reader Support: We restructured the site behind the scenes using modern semantic HTML and updated page metadata. This careful organization ensures far better compatibility with screen readers, braille displays, and other assistive devices.
  • Faster, Snappier Performance: We completely modernized the framework powering the website. This upgraded infrastructure gives the site snappier load times, smoother transitions, and responsive scaling across screens of all sizes.

At the end of the day, KeratoconusGroup.org exists to support, inform, and empower you. Whether you’re catching up on articles over morning coffee or searching for answers late at night, these changes were made to ensure your visits are as easy on the eyes as possible.
